Good Landing Page Practices For A Successful Ad Campaign

Lead Generation | Posted on Jun 22, 2020 | Last updated on July 6, 2022

Believe it or not, a good landing page makes for success. But how? What are they looking at and what are they looking for?

These are just some of the questions that need to be asked in order to really lead them to where they want, as well as where you want. You will learn some of the most important things to consider when making a successful ad campaign.

First, let’s break it down into what a good landing page for an ad campaign consists of. Consider these 4 simple things:

  1. Conversions and Gifts
  2. Visuals and Data
  3. Simplicity and Benefits
  4. Proof and Results

Here are some tips on how to put these simple things into action.

Good Landing Page Tip #1: Conversions and Gifts

Build Your Conversion Using Call To Actions

One of the stars for landing pages is the CTA. If you are looking for a conversion, this is how you will get it.

After reading and becoming interested, what is the next step that will lead to conversion? Well, you need to give them a taste of what you got. Most everybody loves samples and free things. The CTA button needs to be eye-catching and easy to find whenever they are ready.

An example is your ad campaign about a new dog/cat food. Your CTA could be in the shape of a paw print and ask them to provide an email and an option asking what kind of pet they have, a dog or a cat. After clicking on a button that says, “Get My Freebies,” they would then get a digital coupon for a free 1oz product and an e-pamphlet about the benefits of your product for common concerns.

See what they are doing? They are giving the lead a gift to take with them for spending their time with you.

After completing a CTA, you want to send them a thank you message. Most people like to feel acknowledged and thanked for the things they do. Doing this will show that you appreciate their time and help build rapport.

A Good Landing Page Thank You Pop-Up

Along with a thank you, providing them with more information that is easy to reach such as the details, specifications, or benefits of your product or service, how many people are also using it, or anything else that might complement their choice of trusting you with their personal information.

Good Landing Page Tip #2: Visuals and Data

Adding Visuals To Enhance Experience

Pictures can speak a thousand words. Many visitors like to see pictures as it brings whatever they are looking at to life. Providing some images of your product, service, or even your team can create a lively experience for your prospects. Effective visuals will communicate important information to the user and adds credibility to your business.

Good Landing Page Tip #3: Simplicity and Benefits

Show The Benefits And Keep Things Visible

Beating around the bush can be very time consuming and could hurt your conversion rate. Most users search on-the-go and will leave a landing page if they can’t find what they want. Starting with the benefits that your product or service can provide for the prospect will grab their attention and, naturally, will read on.

After capturing their interest, by showcasing the benefits of your product or service, having your CTA button visible at all times will create the conversion that both you and the viewer are looking for. If someone has to scroll or go through multiple clicks to get the information they want, that causes frustration and the result…loss of potential conversion.

Good Landing Page Tip #4: Proof and Results

Evidence That What You Have Really Works

From a business perspective, something that you should provide your customers is credibility, and something that they should expect from you is trust. One of the best ways to create credibility and trust is through customer testimonials or evidence of what you are trying to show. Asking previous users to submit their experience with you will showcase that you are helping real people just like them.

Testimonials and evidence of real-life people using business products are how businesses evaluate their performance. Not only should you have evidence of your product or service as proof for potential leads, but you should also have them for the benefit of your business.

Well, there you have it. Some simple, yet detailed, things that lead to results for your ad campaign.

Thanks for reading and I wish you luck!
